A look back at 2020 with ABI

23rd December 2020

2020 has been quite the year. Up and down the country, businesses closed their doors and families put their everyday lives on pause. We cherished what we once took for granted, allowing us to appreciate the little things even more.

Despite the shift in normality, we tried our best to bring the ABI community together, and you did not disappoint! Our social channels allowed everyone to connect at a time when we may have been away from our holiday homes. Join us in taking a look back at how we still enjoyed the ABI life in a year like no other…

NEC Caravan Show

2020 started out as like any other year. We headed to the NEC Caravan Show and with no elbow bumps in sight, we welcomed everyone to look around our 2020 collection.

This was also the first opporunity for everyone to see our brand new Roecliffe model in person. Little did we know this would be the last show for a while and we’d be launching our 2020-2021 collection virtually!

ABI Egg Hunt

Easter was definitely unique in 2020 and we got creative in how we celebrated. Big Easter egg hunts were off the cards but that didn’t stop us having some much-needed fun.
We shared our own virtual ABI egg hunt, and you took part in the 360° search from the comfort of your own home. Easter eggs were hidden inside our holiday homes and you had the egg-citing task of counting them up.

#DoorstepDestinations

During lockdown, we asked our ABI community to celebrate the beautiful everyday by sharing their #DoorstepDestinations. It allowed us to enjoy clean air, charming views and of course a bit of peace and quiet. The stunning photos we received proved just how stunning the Great British Countryside truly is.

Pet of the Week

We had to mention our pet features that we thoroughly enjoyed sharing from May to July. What started as a weekly ABI furry fan picture sent by you, turned into a much bigger title. Our employees wanted in on the action and shared their own little helpers that had been keeping them company whilst working from home.

Billy the fish even made an appearance…

#ABIRoadTrip

In summer, we strapped ourselves in for a tour of the UK on our #ABIRoadTrip. It was a celebration of everything the Great British summer had to offer, at a time when we were unable to holiday abroad. We stopped off at your ABIs along the way and put together a whole scrapbook to remember the fun we had on our journey.

Thanks to everyone who got involved!

Virtual Launch Event

This year’s collection launch certainly looked a bit different.

As you couldn’t come and see the collection in person this year, we brought them to your homes instead with a virtual launch event. We invited you to take a new look at our collection with a full day filled with everything you needed to know about the collection from interior tours to meeting the designers.

Merry Little ABI Christmas

And finally, we ended the year cherishing the little things that matter.

We knew many of you had spent less time at your holiday home than normal in 2020, so we wanted to make up for it by bringing a little piece of ABI life to you. We spent the first 12 days of December reminiscing about the happy ABI times and the response we got was amazing!

2020 will definitely be a year for us all to remember and looking back has shown how the ABI community has become even stronger (we didn’t think it was possible!).

We’ve got so much to look forward to in 2021 so make sure you keep up to date on our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
