As we head into 2019, here at ABI we’ve decided to look back at 2018 as it’s been a superb year for us! Before we reminisce, we would love to take the opportunity to say a massive THANK YOU to all our fantastic ABI owners and fans as well as our huge network of parks and dealers – without you it wouldn’t be possible to have such a truly wonderful year.
January
After such an exciting Christmas in 2017 we used January as our time to unwind and celebrate some of your amazing fan photos and prepare for the exciting upcoming events in February.
February
February was an exciting month for us! We attended numerous events such as The Scottish Caravan, Motorhome & Holiday Home Show and the NEC Spring Caravan & Camping Show all to showcase our 2018 Collection and meet some of our holiday home fans!
March
Although we had lots of snowfall during March, the show must go on and so in this month, as it does every year marks the reopening of many parks! We love knowing that all of you can get back to relaxing in your ABI. Additionally, in March we launched our Easter giveaway where 10 lucky winners received a Thornton’s Easter Egg! Congrats to everyone who found all the hidden eggs in the homes and to the winners.
April
At ABI we love April Fool’s Day, so we decided to release our Fool’s Day collection; the ABI Birds’ Nest. Even we were a little disappointed this wasn’t true, it looked so cosy!
May
May is a great month of the year for us, not only do we have a couple of bank holidays additionally we launched Decks in Bloom! This gave you the opportunity to win a £50 voucher from sending in pictures of your gorgeous ABI. We got some lovely pictures from the contestants. Congrats to everyone that entered and the lucky winners.
June
We loved hosting the Decks in Bloom so much in May we decided to launch a Park in Bloom competition. This competition aimed to celebrate the park or dealer showground that was most bursting with life. We wanted to see sunshine, flowers, freshly cut grass and wildlife. Congrats to Cakes and Ale Holiday park for winning the ABI Park in Bloom 2018 winner title!
July
As temperatures soared, we wanted to raise the stakes so every time the temperature hit 20°C in different locations around the UK we gave away 10 pairs of ABI sunglasses. The weather remained so perfect we had no choice but to carry on this competition until August!
August
Along with continuing our ABI sunglasses giveaway, August 26th marks International Dog Day! At ABI we love receiving your dog pictures so to celebrate the day we created an album dedicated to your perfect pups.
September
September was a big month for us as our 2019 Collection launched! The Collection included The Beverley, The Malham, The Summer Breeze, The St. David, The Ambleside, The Oakley, The Derwent, The Beaumont, The Blenheim, The Windmere and The Westwood.
You could come see our full collection at The Lawns in Cottingham. We had our own stand where you could browse the ABIs and get a feel for park life. Additionally, we loved showcasing the designs on Facebook and receiving all your amazing feedback! Additionally, we updated The Harrogate design to include an extra bedroom and a new colour scheme!
October
‘Be afraid, be very afraid’ October is such a fun time of year, it’s all about getting ready for the cold weather and of course Halloween! We received so many great photos of how you decided to decorate your ABI; very spooky!
November
In November we launched our Game of Homes giveaway. 25 lucky winners received the deck of cards from simply commenting who they would choose to play the game with!
December
December is always an exciting time with Christmas and New Year fast approaching. In December we launched our 12 days of Christmas campaign which focused on all the great things an ABI can bring to you, which day was your favourite?
